Amazon.com Product Description:
Built using the same compact 44-inch frame as LifeCore's award-winning 900RB and 1000RB bikes, the LC-800RB recumbent exercise bike is comfortable and sturdy, yet takes up far less space than many competing recumbent bikes. As a result, the LC-800RB is perfect for space-restricted basements, dens, and other locations. The bike is outfitted with such features as an ultra-reliable motorized resistance system that creates a smooth, comfortable pedaling performance, along with a 5-inch pedal diameter that helps reduce joint stress. More significantly, the bike's variety of workout programs--which includes 12 preset programs, four heart-rate-control programs, and 16 levels of magnetic resistance--make it easy to design a custom exercise routine. And it's easy to track your progress thanks to the large LED display, which shows your time, distance, speed, calories, and pulse.

About Recumbent Exercise Bikes
Despite the competition from trendy new fitness inventions, exercise bikes continue to be popular options for home exercise. They offer the same aerobic benefits of riding a bicycle at any time, in any weather, without leaving the comfort and safety of home. Exercise bikes don't take up much space, require little or no balance or coordination, and can provide an effective workout for all levels of users, from beginners to serious competitors. While the same could be said for a number of other types of home fitness equipment, the exercise bike is one of the few that allows you to watch television or read a magazine while you work out.
The term recumbent literally means "lying down." Exercising in a recumbent or reclining position allows the user to have full ergonomic back support, without causing strain on the arms, neck and shoulders, all of which can be common effects of using an upright bicycle. For many people, having convenient access to quality exercise equipment is critical to sticking with a long-term exercise program.

Very happy
I was some what afraid to buy this because there had only been two reviews so far and I had previously been planning to buy a Schwinn which was much cheaper and there were over 200 reviews. Having said that, at a store's recommendation, I bought this recumbent two weeks ago. I can find nothing but good things about it.
The assembly instructions were clear and made sense. I didn't time how long it took to put togther, but it really went together easily.
I have ridden it every other day since I bought it. The seat is comfortable and very easy to adjust. Since my wife also rides it, the seat needs adjusted each time either of us ride it. The adjustment is much simpler than the Schwinn model. The bike has a lever that is pulled up on while sitting in the seat to make the adjustment. No counting holes or whatever. At the spot the handle is released, the seat is locked into place
The computer is easy to read, and is simple to change levels and program.
If I wanted to complain about something, I guess it would be that the computer only runs on batteries and I am uncertain how long the batteries will last.
Should any problems develop past two weeks, I'll update this review but so far it is money very well spent.

Great bike
About me:
Former athlete who's busy and hates to work out. I like to snowboard and wakeboard and needed something to improve leg strength.
Also, I'm closing in on 50 and in need of an efficient method for improving cardio.
Very reluctant to plunk down major cash for a clothes hanger.
Can't stand treadmills and I don't like riding a bicycle.
Suffer from light ankle and knee issues that compelled me to find a low-impact solution.
I'm 6'4" 225 lbs now...I was 6'4" 190 lbs in college.
+'s
Solid construction and easy to put together - just a half dozen things that need to be installed - good directions and decent quality parts.
Intuitive interface and easy to understand programs. Cardio analysis seems decent - good enough but not as good as the mayo clinic. Resistance levels seem to be adequate - the first level was actually a bit stiffer than I would have guessed the first time I sat down...it's crazy easy now after two weeks of riding.
I can multi-task while working out! I can read, play guitar, listen to music - a bit of a revelation for me. Can't do that on a track or a treadmill.
Prior to shopping for a bike I had never uttered the word recumbent. My first instinct was to buy an upright - seemed normal to me. After some research tho I eventually leaned toward the recumbent and this one in particular - it's actually at about a 30 degree angle - not horizontal - so it's easy on the back and puts you in a position to multi-task!
Very quiet and small footprint.
Amazon delivery efficient and timely as usual.
-'s
haven't come across one yet but if you're taller than 6'4" you'll need to build a back seat - I'm all the way back and it's just right.

Posatively fantastic!
This machine is quiet and sturdy. I am well above the weight limit (or I assume I am for fear of actually LOOKING at a scale any time this decade) and it has worked like a charm. Cozy seat and good adjustability. The computer is basic at best, but I don't really need something capable of interfacing with the NASA space monitor to get my workout done. This is a good buy at a good price! I say go. Be ware, though, the sellers are rude and not exactly on top of things. This may end up affecting your experience. They waited a month to take the money out of my account, so I wasn't prepared for it when it happened. That sucked.
